ERUZIONE 1614 - CARRICANTE BIANCO BIO 0,750 - DOC SICILIA - SCREW CAP

The history of Mount Etna is dotted with historic eruptions that have shaped its form. The legendary eruption of 1614 lasted 10 years, the longest of all time, stopping right at the edge of the Sciaranuova vineyards. A highly evocative name for our Etna Cru, from this vintage, 100% Carricante. Black soils at altitude give it a fresh, savory, and mineral style.

SOIL TYPE
Soils with perfect exposure and location, black due to lava sand and therefore extraordinarily rich in minerals with an abundant and large structure; surrounded by woods and more recent lava flows.

ALTITUDE
815-860 meters above sea level.

TRAINING SYSTEM
Espalier with spurred cordon and Guyot pruning systems.

CULTIVATION METHOD
According to organic farming criteria and the SOStain® protocol; grassed soils with spontaneous flora to increase organic matter, promoting the vitality of soil microfauna; phytosanitary protection with minimal amounts of sulfur and copper; pest control with beneficial insects, sexual confusion, and the application of natural fortifiers such as zeolite, kaolin, and plant extracts.

In this case, the very subtle golden color does not foreshadow the explosion of white flower and fruit aromas that magically transport the taster to the slopes of the volcano. On the palate, too, the wine manages to combine softness and gusto with a rich drinkability full of sincere fruitiness of lemon zest and green apple, linked to a captivating minerality that lengthens the finish.

An extraordinary accompaniment to fish dishes, white meats, and mild cheeses.
